Hi doctor,
Cash is not an issue for zimplats, they have approx $357 M in the bank.
Zimplats major shareholder is Impala platinum which could give a helping hand and has approx $600M in Cash.
Everything is pointing towards Zimplats having to leave Zimbabwe as the government has its eyes on the mines.
They probably have a Chinese Company waiting in the wings to fill the vacuum (my opinion only).
In the meantime Zimplats as a company will see itself without any PGM mines, and would PLA with its producing Smokey hill mine and a string of advanced projects not be a perfect fit???
Besides that PLA is a bargain at the current shareprice, and is situated in South Africa where Impala its largest shareholder, has its base.
And Zimplats being listed here on the ASX makes it easy for existing holders to roll over their shares.
So lets see if I am dreaming, or if the next substantial holder is either Zimplats or Impala Platinum.....
Interesting times ahead.
