I am of the view that YTC is seriously undervalued. Notwithstanding my view (as well as the views of several brokers) the stock remains under some pressure.
I am not sure why this should be the case and what concerns me is that any small rally in the share price is immediately sold into by thoise wanting out for any small profit (or even loss).
No wonder the Chinese sit back and laugh at our short-sightedness.
I would be interested in other's views as to why YTC continues to underperform.
It is currently trading at a 300% discount to broker's estimates of its NPV. That is the base case valuation discounted back to current values using an applicable discount rate over the 7 year life of the mine.
The valuation contains nothing for blue sky, such as extensions to mineralised zones, cheaper processing costs etc.
There seems to be little risk in this valuation (other than metals prices)yet there is no interest in this stock at present.
I continue to hold and buy on weakness but do not (unfortunately) have unlimited money to keep going.
Interested in other's views.
