You worried about a 5c CGT bill - so now you have lost 6.5c from your investment, and still have a 3.6c CGT bill (assuming you are on the top tax bracket, with only 1% of other Australians). Doesn't sound like the best decision to me.

You would have been better off selling to KCN, selling their script and buying AND again after the offer.

The only people that should be losing their jobs should be the "independent" AND directors who recommended that shareholders reject the offer.
