    Newly Defined Salt Creek, Red Dam and Lake Edge Prospects Exhibit
    Olympic Dam and Carrapateena Style - IOCG Characteristics
    Targeted Drilling Due to Commence in December
    InterMet Resources Limited (InterMet) (ASX:ITT) is pleased to announce infill gravity survey
    results have revealed the location of three Olympic Dam and Carrapateena style IOCG
    prospects at the company’s 100% Lake Gilles project, (EL3466) located 70km west of Port
    Augusta, South Australia.
    The three newly defined Lake Gilles prospects encompassing Salt Creek, Red Dam and Lake
    Edge are a direct result of InterMet’s infill gravity survey aimed at seeking specific drill targets,
    following anomalies previously identified by the South Australian Government PACE funded
    regional gravity survey.
    A four hole 2,300m diamond drilling program (Table 1) will commence in December with initial
    drilling targeting the Salt Creek and Red Dam prospects.
    Commenting on the gravity anomalies, InterMet’s Managing Director, Mr Gary Ferris said, “The
    Lake Gilles tenements were selected due to their favourable geological characteristics suitable
    for Olympic Dam style IOCG mineralization. Given the gravity survey highlights strikingly
    similar anomalous characteristics with Olympic Dam and the recent Carrapateena copper-gold
    discovery, Lake Gilles is emerging as the company’s flagship exploration project”.
    The development of the Prominent Hill copper-gold mine and the recent discovery of
    Carrapateena has put the exploration spotlight back onto the Gawler Craton for IOCG
    deposits. The Lake Gilles project has many features that are similar to Olympic Dam,
    Prominent Hill and Carrapateena, and InterMet has secured a drill rig to commence drilling in
    early December 2006.
    ANOMALOUS CHARACTERISITCS EXHIBIT KEY VECTORS FOR IOCG MINERALISATION
    • Density of ~3.3gm/cc, which is in the range for IOCG targets;
    • High order gravity anomalies between 1 – 4.8mgal;
    • The Lakes Edge gravity anomaly is overlain by a slightly offset magnetic anomaly, a
    scenario that is similar to Prominent Hill;
    • Salt Creek and Red Dam anomalies are located along a major north east (NE) trending
    structure which is a similar scenario to Carrapateena.

    DECEMBER 2006 DRILLING PROGRAMME
    Salt Creek
    The Salt Creek prospect is located along the western margin of outcropping Burkitt Granite
    (Figure 1) in close proximity to the Companion Prospect delineated by previous calcrete
    sampling. Regional calcrete sampling over this area returned multi-element spot highs along a
    major quartz veined fault structure and a rock chip sample from a well located within 200m of
    Burkitt Hill recorded 280ppb Au. The well is cut into sericite altered quartz veined Burkitt
    Granite.
    InterMet plans to drill one diamond drill hole to 600m (SC-DD1) to test this gravity feature. The
    hole will be drilled 60° towards 315° to test this feature. The Salt Creek anomaly is a 2.8mgal
    feature with a modelled depth to the top of the gravity feature of 350m (Table 1).
    The feature is located on the south eastern part of the Burkitt Pluton along the intersection of
    the major NE trending structure within the region and a smaller NE trending structure (Figure
    3). This hole is designed to penetrate both structures and intersect the gravity target. The
    main NE trending structure crops out as a 30-40m wide quartz vein, which contains visible
    sulphides.
    Red Dam
    The Red Dam gravity anomaly is located approximately 12km south of the Salt Creek prospect
    (Figure 1) and comprises a large gravity complex with four discrete anomalies of 3.3gm/cc
    (Figure 3). Several other 3.2gm/cc anomalies are located within this area with plans for further
    drilling dependant on receipt of initial results.
    Three holes will be drilled:
    1. RD-DD1 will be drilled 60° towards 270° to test a 1m/gal discrete 3.3mg/cc anomaly
    (Figure 3) to a depth of 500m. The modelled top surface of the anomaly is 220m.
    2. RD-DD2 will be drilled 60° towards 270° to test a 3.5m/gal discrete 3.3mg/cc anomaly
    (Figure 3) to a depth of 600m. The modelled top surface of the anomaly is 360m.
    3. RD-DD3 will be drilled 60° towards 270° to test a 3.2m/gal discrete 3.3mg/cc anomaly
    (Figure 3) to a depth of 600m. The modelled top surface of the anomaly is 360m.
    Lake Edge
    The Lake Edge prospect is located along the eastern margin of Lake Gilles (Figure 3) and is
    within an area with no previous drill holes.

    Silver Swan Group Joint Ventures – Cocata and Watson Projects
    InterMet increases exploration impetus
    InterMet Resource’s (ASX:ITT) is pleased to announce it has executed two joint
    venture agreements with Silver Swan Group Limited for exploration excluding
    uranium over two of InterMet’s projects within the highly prospective Gawler Craton.
    Under the joint ventures announced today Silver Swan can earn up to an 80%
    interest in the Cocata (EL3462 and 3463) and Watson (EL 3313 and 3323) Projects
    from InterMet by spending $1M within four years on non-uranium exploration. Silver
    Swan may withdraw at any time after an initial appraisal period provided it has
    expended at least $50,000 on each project. The joint ventures are subject to
    ministerial consent being granted to the agreements and the Australian Stock
    Exchange Limited granting Silver Swan approval for admission to its official list.
    Under the joint ventures, Silver Swan can explore for all minerals with the exception
    of palaeochannel hosted uranium and unconformity-related uranium mineralisation
    on the Central Gawler Craton Project and all minerals except uranium on the
    Nullarbor Project.
    InterMet recently announced it has also signed a joint venture with Uranium Equities
    Limited (ASX:UEQ) for the Cocata Project on the central Gawler Craton. Managing
    Director, Gary Ferris said “having two separate joint ventures for different minerals
    over Cocata maximises the potential for a discovery”.
    InterMet is currently exploring for palaeochannel hosted uranium at Watson with the
    first drilling program returning anomalous uranium within groundwater samples. A
    water sample from hole EWB019 (100m) returned a value of 602 ppb U, which is
    considered very significant and may represent a pathfinder to a potential mineralised
    zone within the ancient river system. The second six hole was completed yesterday
    and water and drill hole samples will be submitted for laboratory analyses next week,
    with results expected in 2-3 weeks.
    Many of the drill holes from the first drilling program at Watson intersected basement
    rocks below the channel with five holes intersecting mafic lithologies which may be
    perspective for nickel. Garnetiferous gneisses crop out along the shores of Lake
    Ifould nearby and represent a sequence of rocks the same age as the host rocks of
    the Challenger Gold Mine, located approximately 100 km to the northeast but within
    the same tectonic domain. No focused exploration for gold has been undertaken
    within the project area.

    uranium mineralisation within these project areas, whilst allowing Silver Swan

    New Exploration Joint Venture in highly prospective Gawler Craton, South Australia
    Highlights
    A Joint Venture was announced today whereby Uranium Equities Limited can earn up to 80% interest in 2 large South Australian Exploration Licenses prospective for uranium.
    The project emphasis will be on uranium in Tertiary palaeochannels which are widespread in the region. Prospective host rocks have been intercepted in drilling by previously explorers and high uranium source rocks are located nearby.
    Exploration will also focus on unconformity-style uranium mineralization which is viewed as a potential uranium target in the region.

    Uranium Equities Limited is pleased to advise that it has concluded a joint venture agreement with Intermet Resources Limited whereby Uranium Equities can earn an 80% interest in the Cocata Project (ELs 3462 and 3463). These titles are located to the south of known areas of uraniferous Tertiary palaeochannels on the Gawler Craton prospective for palaeochannel uranium deposits and in close proximity to uraniferous granitic source rocks.
    Uranium Equities can earn up to 80% interest from Intermet by spending $2.0million on exploration within 5 years. Uranium equities can withdraw at any time after and initial appraisal period and after expenditure of at least $175,000 and having met the expenditure conditions of the licenses.
    The Cocata Uranium Project area was explored during the early 1980’s by Carpentaria Exploration Company Pty Limited with limited drilling across the northern part of the project area. The holes intersected a Tertiary sequence of prospective host sands with interlayer lignites/carbonaceous sediments up to 80 metres thick. Recently, anomalous uranium has been reported from nearby tenements, thereby increasing the prospectivity of the palaeochannel within the Cocata Project area. Exploration by Uranium Equities will use new and advanced technologies for uranium exploration within an area that has not received modern systematic exploration for uranium.
    Exploration will also focus on unconformity-style uranium mineralization at the base of the Mesoproterozoic (Blue Range Beds). No examples of unconformity-style uranium are yet known from the Gawler Craton, however recently, PIRSA have upgraded the prospectivity of this region for this style of mineralization. Application of similar geophysical methods as those used in the Athabasca Basin (Canada) for unconformity-related uranium will be considered by the Company for application in the Cocota Project.

    InterMet launches secondary uranium drilling programme at Watson project, South Australia
    Potential rollfront uranium zones targeted
    InterMet Resources (ASX:ITT) is pleased to announce commencement of a second six hole drilling programme focussing on its rollfront uranium targets at the company’s 100% owned Watson project, located in the highly prospective Gawler Craton region, South Australia.
    InterMet Resources Managing Director, Mr Gary Ferris said, “given previous drilling has already identified the presence of anomalous uranium at Watson with best results including 70ppm uranium in drill cuttings and up to 602 ug/l in water samples, the second round of drilling will focus on further testing the extent of uranium anomalism on the Watson tenement”.
    The second six hole drilling programme will target potential rollfront uranium zones with holes drilled to basement on 1Km centres.
    Analysis of existing HositEM and assay results from this second drill programme are expected to be available towards the end of September 2006.
    “We consider our tenement area acts as a natural trap for uranium due to the fact it is being transported within oxidised groundwater through thick sequences of sands and interlayered organic rich carbonaceous material. “Essentially Watson has the right geological settings for a rollfront uranium system” added Mr Ferris.

    Significant Laboratory Results Confirm Anomalous Uranium
    Within Groundwater at InterMet’s Watson Project
    Anomalous Uranium Identified in Samples from Palaeochannel Drilling
    InterMet Resources (ASX:ITT) is pleased to announce results from the second round of
    water sample and drill hole analysis that have confirmed the presence of anomalous
    uranium within groundwater at InterMet’s 100% owned Watson tenement, located on the
    western Gawler Craton, South Australia.
    Following previous results from the company’s maiden 20 hole drilling program
    (consisting of 1,327 metres at depths ranging from 22 to 100 metres) revealing
    anomalous uranium up to 244 ug/l from water samples (Hole EWB017), an additional 2
    water samples and 44 drill hole samples (cuttings) were submitted for further analysis.
    Results have confirmed increasing uranium values, indicating the transportation of
    uranium throughout the palaeochannel (ancient river system) at depths up to 100
    metres.

    InterMet Resources Managing Director, Mr Gary Ferris, said today “exploration at
    Watson is rapidly advancing with the new results confirming our confidence in the
    project. From the recent EM survey identifying the existing palaeochannel, to lab results
    confirming the transportation of uranium throughout this system, the next phase will be to
    isolate where the uranium within solution is being deposited”.
    The additional samples confirm that the palaeochannel does contain uranium and
    potential uranium trap sites are possibly located to the southwest of the current drilling.

    InterMet has a number of other tenements on Eyre Peninsula with good potential for
    rollfront uranium in palaeochannel systems. The company recently acquired a strategic
    holding of land with rollfront uranium potential when it applied for a large area contiguous
    with its Coulta Project. InterMet also holds a significant part of the Yaninee
    Palaeochannel (Cocata Project) where Toro Energy recently reported anomalous
    uranium.
