You need to be a registered shareholder close of business on Friday the 2nd of December to qualify

For the sake of argument I will accept your 'statement' that last friday was the cut off for BUYING shares

My point is if you sell your shares before close of business Friday then you want to be very sure that your name is still on the share registry @C.O.B

Does that mean you can sell at 3.59pm Friday and still be on the registry? Maybe

Does it mean you can sell tomorrow and still be on the register Friday? Maybe

Speak to your broker to clarify your own position people and that includes online brokers too. They will tell you specifically when you can sell and still be on the register Friday
