Fairview isn't a tight field. ;) It's one of the best CSG fields in the world.
But it's close to fully developed now and it isn't big enough to supply anywhere near two trains of LNG, which is why Santos are struggling with about half the 2P reserves of APLNG and QGC. Already they are resorting to all sorts of fancy deviated and lateral wells in Fairview, which tells me they are approaching the limits of the permeability fairway.
I think Roma will do okay too (as mentioned in the Citi report) but it's no Fairview.
And after that they don't have much left. They did a lot of drilling north of Fairview and don't seem to have gotten any good results - because their Reserves growth has been practically non-existent for a few years now.
That's what I mean by their tight fields. At least WCL have 2P over theirs, proven production history, and they are nice and shallow.
