It's a common expression jake0002, have you not heard it before?
if you sit back and wait until you see delivery of flow rates, then I reckon you will have missed the game. it's risk/reward scenario.
Agreed... But in this case I think I'd be happy to miss the bottom in order to be sure. Just personal preference, those with a higher appetite for risk here might have a different opinion.
we don't know the gas price under the GSA - but we DO know its at least double the current price, and we have been constantly referred back to the AFR article.( in which MH referred to current market prices of $9/gj)
Yeah I think around $6-7 would make sense, keeping in mind the discount GLNG would require for the reasons I mentioned above. Still a hefty margin and should put WCL comfortably into net profit territory. I definitely prefer it this way round than say, a 20 PJ deal with a miner or whatever. A deal like that would have been at $8-9 which would have made more of a profit per GJ, but without the volume.
WCL can make decently more profit this way IMO, but they will need to work harder for it because there is less profit per GJ.
I recall JB said at 12tj/d, at CURRENT prices of $3.20/gj, the field was at break-even.
Yeah I'd believe that in gross terms, $3.20 would cover opex and should have some left over for the occasional item of capex.
But not in net terms, WCL was still making a hefty loss.
psi- mate I hope you get on board, because I would love to see you drive past in your shiny new red Ferrari! LOL
How much is a new Ferrari, 300k or so? So with a 20k initial investment I'd need a 15-bagger to get that Ferrari... I've had two 15-baggers in my time but neither of them started from a MC anywhere near as high as $125M!
Well, here's hoping!
