Its not yellowcake. The rice industry is an even more successful example of an effective single desk where against the odds - entirely so - they have taken a commodity grown in the most unlikely of places and turned it into an extremely successful money earner for its shareholder / growers.
The problem I'm having with your arguement yellowcake is that you continue to argue as if wheat sales in international markets are no more difficult than you and your next door neighbour choosing which buyer to sell to at harvest !!
Anyways, enough from me. You have effectively argued tonight that - as somebody who is totally committed to the west Australian CBH you are more objective in your arguements based on their propoganda than the national 'common good' arguements that underpin the single desk. On that basis alone I'll have to leave you to it, LOL!!
One thing further though, I am seriously interested in the relationship between oil and agricultural production and you have a very interesting discussion going there.
If you want an even more interesting area to look at which may blow up and effect those international export markets we are talking about even faster than oil, have a look at Water.
