Well, few weeks left to release the Yambla and Harts Range (REE-U) results. It's time to review the historical results and expect the possible oncoming results.
If the results are very positive, we can expect 2-3 baggers SP in short term.
HIGHTLIGHT:
& High uranium values up to 13.8% U3O8 have been returned from sampling the nodules &
& particular much sought after heavy REE??s such as europium, terbium and dysprosium &
& over a distance of 1.7km containing anomalous uranium and heavy REE &
1, Background info.
Yambla in the Harts Range, 140km East of Alice Springs, Northern Territory. Yambla, an area of historical uranium prospects, is located within the granted exploration licence EL26142.
Uranium was discovered at Yambla by PNC Exploration in 1992, who drilled a number of holes to test radiometric anomalies and outcropping uraninite-rich veins within amphibolite rock. Field work by UXA has identified the presence of small (2-3cm diameter) uranium-rich (possibly uraninite or pitchblende) nodular concretions in soils weathering from the amphibolite. High uranium values up to 13.8% U3O8 have been returned from sampling the nodules (Table 2, sample nos. 99001, 99002, 99008).
Mapping indicates that PNC??s drilling may have missed the main zone of uranium mineralisation due to the plunge of the mineralised shoot.
Subsequent to year end, UXA was granted 3 new tenements adjacent to its Yambla project. The new tenements are 100% held by UXA and cover a total area of 111km2 located within the Entia Pegmatite Field, considered to be highly prospective for rare earth elements (REE) as well as uranium and in particular much sought after heavy REE??s such as europium, terbium and dysprosium used in the manufacturing of permanent magnets and power generators.
2, 2011 DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME
UXA will target this area with further geochemical sampling prior to drilling.
UXA plans to embark on a detailed stream sediment and soil sampling program in the 2011 field season designed to cover the entire tenement package and identify potential mineralised sources of uranium and heavy REE anomalism.
UXA has collected more than 200 samples in Nov-Dec 2010.
