Your info is v interesting - for the uninitiated, l gather that oxygen levels are kept low to reduce risk of fire ? And miners use oxygen masks underground ? So the Nitrous is to smother any combustion. l gather that all went astray at the Gympie mine ? Perhaps not enough attention to detail ?
l am actually a greenie at heart, and am concerned about the CO2 emissions - last year the gov announced 50 odd million for research into CO2 sequestration underground. l know it is early days yet, but do you have knowledge about this application and whether it is likely to be a goer or not ?
So you reckon 300m up the track is another seam problem - how long will it take to mine that far ? 6 months ?
As for electricity consumption, they are talking de salinisation plant for the Gold Coast and more + more air conditioning - more power to the masses.
