Again, I'm not professing to having a great understanding of the product, but I live over here a great deal of time, so have a local SIM card.

But I will be heading to England and back to Aust, amongst other places, over the next few months.

I guess if I had the flexiroam device sold to me when I first decided to get a local SIM, I could have kept my Aussie number and have done all of the travelling without constantly changing SIM cards, or relying on wifi.

It would have been an attractive offer.

You would only need a small percentage of outlets, in the more touristy areas, to offer this to customers and I think many would prefer this to getting a local number while here. And of course the sellers continue to make money from their original sale long after the transaction has taken place.

It seems like a smart marketing strategy.
