I'm less concerned about the environmental side of things.

When compared to conventional coal mining and other gas operations they have a smaller footprint, preserves groundwater volumes much better, produces an insignificant amount of water, no fracking, excavating or coal transporting and the ash remains underground.

So really i feel its a much better solution from options already in operation.

Funding is definitely an issue for me also. The current test plant has cost $100m, do you know an estimate for building another? Likely around the same cost?
