To be honest, I was astounded when they quoted the 140k+ number. The Exactta announcement itself confirmed 50k orders which is a massive. If the number has been reduced, then the positive is that the revenue numbers produced thus far are better on a per SIM basis.
This of course depends on how they recognise revenue. Hopefully they only recognise once the packs are shipped, and we are yet to see it. Last time they reported on their partner program they provided further insight into the amount of packs shipped, activated and that had made subsequent purchases. Flexiroam seem to be providing much less detail to the market these days. No ASX mention of their award, Ivacy VPN deal, and the more comprehensive investor updates seem to have fallen by the wayside too.
Typically for an a listed entity, no news or less news is bad news, and possibly why the SP is languishing where it is. I also think the recent sell off in UNL as our closest listed peer may have convinced someone to dump their holding earlier this week.
I will say until the end of Oct when Priori Data stopped free access to their data, downloads were steady and trending slowly upward particularly in Apple.
Since then I've been using Apptopia, which in many ways is better. The numbers don't gel (they are significantly higher than Priori data) but the trends appear to match.
On Priori, I was consistently seeing around 5k downloads per month total, with a strong shift towards Apple.
On Apptopia the last 30 days is showing 7k in Apple alone! (surely can't be right?) Anyway, the important thing is the trend. Since the beginning of Nov Apple downloads have almost doubled. For the previous 30 days up 50%.
It's also showing a decline in Android, which is consistent with the trend since the new pricing structure was launched and confirms to me the data is comparable.
From the country rankings the growth is coming from increases in new countries. Keep an eye particularly on Canada & Brazil.
Interestingly, there wasn't a big spike on the 11th with their Mega sale.
I'm not sure if you have the App, but they seem to be using the notification feature quite heavily. It is to the point where I essentially think they have basically lowered their prices by continually putting forward offers.
The latest is 50% starter packs which is pretty darn good. Although the 1st rule of marketing is buy 1 get 1 free (not 50% off!)
They should consider family packs (possibly with pooled data) or possibly doing this for corporates.
Finally, not sure if you saw, but in the awards acceptance they mentioned in-flight, WiFi & even cruise ship data would soon be available. That would be awesome!
