Good analysis above. thanks both, as this stock had gone off my radar again for a while. the post above has gotten me looking back into it again, and i co-incidentally saw this article today (below) in afr: I think there's a couple of other value markers also that show how undervalued Wzr might be:
Symple just launching, raises $10M with founders still holding majority share, so valued at say $25M-$30M with basically no lending history (v $70M wzr), no propriety tech like wzr (their website says they're using cloud lending platform), and none of the other smart products/strategy that wzr has put together from what i heard from them recently. yet already valued at more than Wisr?? if that doesnt say wzr are undervalued, that a business just launching with basically nothing except an intent to get into the space is valued at more than them, then what does?
it just shows how much people value the potential growth in that sector i think, as per the article "Ninety per cent of the market share in personal loans still sits with the big four banks."
Ratesetter, the other major player, apparently just raised another $20M on a $165M pre money val (i cant confirm this with a source, but its what someone mentioned to me).
i think seeing Wzr hit 15c-20c in 2019 is more likely than not, with a market cap of $150M-$200M+ in the medium term pretty fair once the market wakes up to this one.
i think this could be one of those stocks that snail paces its way to $50M market cap, and once their, gets interest from some big investors who only invest in stock +$50M, and we see it run rapidly to $200M on the back of it.. (assuming they keep up their lending growth)
