I don't know what you mean by "do Wyckoff" in that sentence.
Wyckoff himself only traded uptrends (and downtrends), and did not get involved in accumulations or distributions at all (they are where the risk is highest).
He waited for a confirmed breakout (or breakdown), then held positions during the markup (or markdown) phase.
