Look at how News is sometimes used (and abused) in the market.
Firstly, BHP announces it will buy up big into Unconventional Gas,
and some group or groups obviously don't like the news (or decide to use the news to their advantage) and start to sell up big time (into the demand created by those who believe it is good news).
The market breaks down after this in response - and it looks to be all over - but price is held up, and then starts to recover all the losses, and things start to look all rosy again.
And then this massive rumour comes out about BHP drawing up plans to take over Woodside (I have no idea this was actually true, or was just an engineered rumour), the news is all over TV, Radio, newspapers and internet - and a huge frenzy of demand is created..........which is obviously sold (and shorted) into......after that.....price is no longer supported and comes back to the mid to low thirties.....then the world changes, and commodities start coming off......and well.....after that......say no more.........
