    Umm,
-although I have no actual experience with the add ins (only the actual TG software), however the add ins are evidently more reliable than their own software, which is a good thing, as their current software is average at best (except for the educational indicators - even though they are limited).

-It is educational no doubt, and will help beginners for a while (possibly 6mths to a year I guess), but fairly quickly after that it becomes unnecessary.
I usually don't have the bar descriptions turned on anymore, and only switch them on temporarily from time to time, to check (for fun & interest) to see if the program has seen an indicator can see (or if it missed it.....).

-It is not perfect by a long shot, although it does 'see' the majority of the most important bars.
That said, it does miss some fairly obvious bars at times, and sometimes it sees bars that are obviously wrong when put into context with the chart.

-It only looks at single bars, and a few double bars (two bar reversals etc), so it in no way put the bars into context with the trend, the overall market sentiment, or the most recent bullish/bearish influence on the chart. All of that is completely up to you to work out.

    Hopefully that helps a bit,

    cheers
