I think one benefit FA has over TA is that for the most part it forces traders to zone in on specific areas, where as with TA, we can run a scan on the entire market, get a selection of attractive stocks, next week there's a new selection. There's a lot of noise with TA, and it is very easy to get distracted, which is a part of why I trade mostly constituents of the 200. It's easy to look at a chart, do the work, wait, get distracted and before you realise you're too late. I couldn't even count how much money being distracted has cost me over the years, so you're definitely not alone.
I've only ever glanced at Wyckoff, sort of enough to work out there was nothing I could use. But I respect any technique that focuses on price structure/volume as you know. I'm a little quiet at the moment so I'll do some homework and see if there's anything I can contribute.
