Yeah, MND probably should have begun the consolidation process today, after yesterdays strong gains.
The fact that it didn't suggests that there is a decent short covering element involved.
That shake-outy thing that occured a week suggested a desperation to get some stock (must be none available off market, and no chance of a CR either).
Since that brief pullback the short interest had reduced by about a million shares - still about 7% of the total SOI were held short as of last Thursday (they reached a peak well over 10% early last year, and have been reducing since then).
FWIW -I don't expect all those short positions were just there to make a profit individually, there would have been quite a bit of hedging of a long position involved, and possibly some strategic shorts as well. However the markets have changed sufficiently now, so that shorts don't want to be short anymore, Hedges are probably not needed anymore, and the market has changed enough to want to unwind any short strategies that used MND stock as weak, as well.
Interesting times......

I'm yet to fully appreciate the strategies involving shorting the market, and I can see how it makes parabolic moves even more likely once they begin, as supply dwindles it effectively puts demand on turbo
