Yes, I have a copy of "Trades about to Happen", that is how this thread really got going, I offered to help a member with any difficulties in interpreting the book.

and Yes, I did make my own version of the Weis Wave using excel, it took quite a bit of my time to do over a few weeks, then I had a 'little' problem which I tried to solve for ages (maybe about two weeks) , and in the end I paid (USD$40) to have some VBA code written for me to fix my stumbling block. Then it all came together no worries.
You need to have a external data provider as well.
It is not the 'do all and end all' of trading, but I find it helpful and insightful and use it regularly.
Also with the excel charts, I started making basic charts using excel, and understood the basics of excel stock chart building, before I started a big project.
I also understood concept behind the Weis Wave fairly well (and learned the rest as I moved forward).
I did have a couple of false starts when I first started making them, which is just part of the learning process I guess.
