Hi Gypaetus, Jako and others,
Interesting discussion and thanks for the posts; you can always learn something new.
I may have posted TLS charts before but I'd like to use this stock as a possible example of how 'bad press' and 'good fundamentals' appear to interact. Naturally I'd be grateful for contributions.
On the Monthly - we see the price in a Downtrend and coming down to the 61.8% Fib level, which may not be part of the VSA methodology but I suspect that it is relied upon by some as a minimum retracement before considering looking at possible trend changes. Examples of this are quite common.
On the Weekly we can see the Climatic Action taking place, following the challenge by TPM to the roaming facility.
On the Daily support appears to have come in following what looks like a shake out.
Am I looking at the above correctly?
My summation:
Fundamentally - TLS is a yield play, a 'must', a cash-cow that institutions and retirees rely on for dividends. The key measures of this stock are quite compelling from the above investors perspective i.e. yield of 7% and PE lower than sector average.
The preliminary decision by the ACCC was favorable and likely to be same for the final.
Worth a punt? I think so; not so much for the yield, which I am not chasing
, but for the growth and therefore a mid term trade with a view to selling at around 5.60 (the Fib extension to 127.2%). In the spirit of sharing, I also bought Calls, expiring Dec'17.
Thanks for your thoughts and cheers,
soccer
