Yeah, I wrote something similar to that........

What I was saying was that you can be more confident of the more recent support levels, and less confident of levels as they get older.....especially very old levels.......particularly if it appears there has been a distribution between the older support levels, and now (as those who were supporting the price, and defending the levels, may have sold out in the distribution, and no longer have any reason to support the price anymore.......and may actually prefer it to breakdown, if they are now short).

To some extent it is a judgement call.......so careful examination of the chart is necessary, and then watch for signs of support (or lack of...), as price negotiates the level.
