timmo..
You are right... South Africa gold/uranium holdings value and the actively mined "neighbors" are not to be forgotten..
A lot of focus on Papua for WWI ... but South Africa is the "real thing" too. Hoping for new news on that front also.
Reporting improved for WWI of late. Is appreciated.
Thanks for the info timmo.... placers etc.... I remember the post. Good stuff.
Have you read up on "Potato Patch" deposit in Nevada. CSA report has compared Derewo to it in some aspects? Crazy stuff. Crazy good that is!
Nice that the alluvial gold at Derewo is being mined at such shallow depths up to date. Much mining lower costs than serious under ground of course.
Brings to mind a few of the CSA quotes...
"....Based on the high gold grades and the mineralization observed at Area 81, the Derewo River Gold Project is a truly outstanding exploration prospect. Gold occurrences like this are extremely rare and this area deserves to be thoroughly explored to assess the quantity and quality of the alluvial deposits and to search for the potential hard rock gold source of the alluvial gold...."
".....The placer deposit is probably the least explored one of significance in the world. It occurs in a highly mineralized district and there is good potential that the source of the alluvials is quite close by......"
Not without some risk though.
-------------
Last South Africa leases sold for $9 million in tough times for mining (and a little rushed).... and the remaining leases have been spoken of as worth over and above that.... from my records a figure of $12 million was quoted.
Looking OK for WWI assets....
Debt free ASX company with minimal staff... $2 million
South Africa Assets... $10-12 million
Cash... $1.2 million
Incoming Cash... $4 million
Machinery on alluvial site... $1 million?
Mining camp(s) and machinery shed... $0.5 million?
3 helipads Completed... $0.25 million?
Derewo Alluvial Target... $??? million?
Wopogi Sena Piagu Targets... $??? million?
Looks like near $20 million worth of "stuff" that WWI have on the books.
Value has been added to the West PNG asset since the earlier GOC days.... Derewo is not the "same" alluvial project as before.... much better fundamentals now. Not liquid assets by any means... but market cap is very fair for risk/reward.
Derewo and Wopogi etc... counted at $0... leaving upside for improvements in the story.
Perhaps this is what the Twynam Ag crew are looking at.
---------------
As for permitting in West Papua... Indonesia is still active... forgot to post this last week... article with "Lundin" granted alternative targets.
Lundin a serious player... big company... big money... big projects.
Different sector (oil and gas)... but encouraging for WWI hopefuls.
---------------
Gold holding up well after latest sell-down to $1270's.
August/September hold some nice news for WWI.
