There is a really interesting aspect to the gold price situation, and that is the size of the resource back then under JORC 1999. I refer to JORC 1997 in my post above but 1997 was the year it was agreed, the JORC Code 1999 was the resulting binding terms.

Admittedly I have some research to do about the substantive differences between the 1999 iteration of the Code (http://www.jorc.org/docs/historical_documents/1999_jorc_code.pdf) and the 2012 Code (http://www.jorc.org/docs/jorc_code2012.pdf) but WWI is already showing that it can convert 1999 to 2012 compliant resources without much cost at all.

I expect there is probably differences between quality and quantity of measurements & samples taken between the two iterations of the Code.

I will update this thread with my findings - seems to me like converting the rest of the 12m ounce JORC 1999 resource is a huge opportunity for this company to add shareholder wealth, on top of its production/exploration/development.
