They are not looking to do an expensive ''drilling'' exercise they will be drilling (hand held potentially like the last ones) for further samples inland on the island to see if the initial test results taken on the shore/beach are held up by the samples taken inland. The objective being to check/verify the quality and extent of the find, and thus its commercial viability.

Now it must have commercial viability else they wouldn't be going to such trouble to divvy up the shares first before the results are out officially.

So I'd say the additional shares are a good sign that they know they are onto something big....
