The problem is, kingpins, there are no iconoclast politicians visible. They are either too right or too left, or living in the Disneyland world of make-believe. Sadly, many of our politicians are still stuck in the 1950s, and the world has moved on. I'm still waiting for 'The Age of Reason,' but the current incumbents and the opposition can't seem to accomplish the simplest of tasks, like effective tenancy laws, which reflect the need for security of tenure - given the changing face of housing needs. Or building regulations when one looks at the Opal Tower fiasco and the fire risk of some high-rise cladding products.
