One thing that we do need is a new- modern and efficient big oil refinery built in Australia with the capacity to refine 700k plus barrels a day of oil. Be it sweet or sour oil. ALSO modern and efficient coal to diesel plant and a gas to diesel plant refinery.
All oil refineries in Australia today that are left were designed and built in the 1920 to 1950s era and are old, costly to maintain and inefficient by todays standards.
Plus 85% of all money invested in Australian super funds should be made to invest that money in Australia and not overseas.
