I've shopped at Aldi for 7 years & am grateful they have forced...

I've shopped at Aldi for 7 years & am grateful they have forced Woolies & Coles to lift their game. They're not the bees knees though. Quite a few of their items cost more than the big 2's. A lot of their food is cheap, dodgy Chinese junk. But I bought $6 1kg cheese from them for 6 years & bread for $1 while the big 2 charged $7-$8 & $4 (bread) for theirs until six months ago, when they saw the light was an Aldi train in the tunnel. Still buy yoghurt there @ $1-2 cheaper than big 2 for 1kg, & cream 12% less. A few other basics cheaper too... Oil, pasta, dates, raisins, paracetamol (69c!), gherkins, bicarb, ice-cream, sauces. Big 2 need to wake up some more. I'd rather buy at big 2 because theie range is much better & they're in my super fund, whereas Aldi's billionaire owners hog it all themselves
