BB asserts:
Their potential appointments will drag Auris back to being an exploration company managed by financial advisors.I have checked the details, essentially from the Annual Reports, and this assertion is arrant nonsense - as foreshadowed.
2011
Miles Kennedy - lawyer with 27 years of directorship on resource stocks - diamond companies, Sandfire, Macraes, MOD, Lohnro etc etc
John Hutton - successful prospector, like his dad Graeme - Brumby Resources, Sandfire etc
Tom Mann - stock broker, global trader - Medical Australia
2012
Same 3 plus Albert Thamm - 24 years experience in exploration and mining projects as a geologist etc, now a director of LOM where he is also the CP (Competent Person). He was the CP at RNI for a while until Peter Langworthy took over, and with AT's approval and blessing I believe.
2013
Same 4
2014
Same 4 again
2015
Both John H and Tom M resigned during that AR year. That left Miles K and Albert T, plus......
Royce McAuslane replaced JH but resigned after 7 months. He was replaced by Nanette Anderson.
Royce was appointed manager too after working for the company as development manager for about a year (gold mining at Fortnum was on the co's agenda at the time). He was a metallurgist with 17 years experience. He had worked with Newcrest, Barrick and Newmont amongst others.
Nanette had worked in the resource sector for 17 years. She had a background in geology, exploration and development and had been MD of Southern Gold for a period.
2016
Albert T resigned nov 2015. He was replaced by Simon Heggen of MLX where he continues to be a director. He has degrees in law and economics and at the time of his appointment he had had 30 years experience in the resource sector. Miles K and Nanette A continued as Directors.
How are we going so far Bronwyn? Spot any financial advisor? I certainly cannot!
2017
Debbie Fullarton, a chartered accountant, who had been with RNI since early 2012, was appointed MD on 1/9/16, relacing Miles K on the Board. The 2 Ds were then Debbie F, Simon H and Nanette A. Robert Martin came on as a Director (big shareholder) on 2/11/16. His credentials were in mining and exploration. He was, and still is, a D of Bulletin Resources, was involved in the development of Halls Creek gold mine etc. He remains a director, and also a big shareholder.
Simon H was replaced by Bronwyn Barnes on 25/11/16 and remains a D. Her corporate cv includes exec chair of Windward Resources.
Nanette A resigned 2/2/17, so back to 3 Ds.
Debbie F resigned 11/8/17 and left AUR's employment altogether (why?). She was replaced by Susan Vearncombe, a geologist with a directorship cv that included Straits and Silver Swan.
So there we have it, and not one financial advisor. As I said Bronwyn, your statement is nonsense. I suspect that it's mischievous though, pandering to the ignorant and innocent out there reading you biased message. My brother fell for it; no doubt others have and will too. As a director, you have very serious duties. Here, you have in all probability breach your duty. Deceptive conduct?
