I think everyone around here can do with a laugh, so here's one at my expense...

My story starts a year or 2 ago, with the Amazon project and my dodgy trading practices, I was actually in QPN for the Amazon spud, and about 3-4 weeks before hand, my stop in QPN got hit, with some selling over delays I think it was.

I sat out for a week or so, and after some more research, bought into TNP as they had a much smaller register, more skin in the drilling, good management and more potential upside (and a lot more risk as we know!!)

I got 100,000 at 13.5c and sat back to enjoy the fireworks....

Delays came and the drill turned slowly.. A long awaited holiday to Borneo rolled on, and my girlfriend and I enjoyed our trek deep into the jungles at Sepilok..

By the time we got back to internet in Kota Kinabalu, the damage was done... Some idiot (namely myself!!)had stuffed up his supposed stop and TNP was sitting around 4c or so!!

I decided to keep them and just see what happens, or right them off if any of my other stocks ever make a decent profit, and thats where I am today!!

So my 3 lessons for everyone:

1)Orangutans at Sepilok are way cooler than money ANY DAY.. (support the Sepilok Rehab centre if you can)

2)Dont blame anyone else for your actions - in the end it's always your decision

3)Dont let an untrained monkey set your stops!!
