You guys must all live in cities or along the coast. Maybe you don't leave airconditioned rooms for long.

Do a road trip to western NSW and talk to some people in the street.  You may find that some of your right of centre friends have changed their minds on climate change.  They base their views on daily experience of extreme weather events.  They don't take much  notice of crazy debates.

One concern is that many farmers aren't buying much at the moment because they are currently afraid of the weather.
