Demand for land that can produce food is WHITE HOT! Even if there is a chance of producing food the risk will need to be taken. I'm sorry but oil mallees don't factor that highly in this future. Totally dependent on legislative incentives. A little lesson for the inexperienced. Over-regulation always ends in tears. Fod versus carbon. Food to win hands down.
I know many in the ag industry eying 'cheap' land where drought has created value. You only need to crop when the subsoil moisture permits when you buy for a song and you'll likely make handsome profits ... corporate Australia is a little slow on the ag train but they'll get there once they get talking to the people who have a clue ie, generally not CEO's of mining companies.
