we share the exact same thoughts. I also thought was possible they are getting price up for a placement but timing would not be right for that around results time.
There was some serious money going into the push up - so there must be something behind it - but looking at Baker Hughes, Schlumberger etc - it just doesn't stack up.
The shorts have not covered by the looks of it - but this could have been an attempt to force a short-covering..
