Woolworths WOW stock slides down again, page-7

It will be interesting to see what they do different in their supermarkets. At the moment I think Woolies and Coles have both dropped the ball, well at least that is my local experience.

The local Coles has far better staff, who are helpful and courteous, but infuriate me with their refurbishment.
You can no longer find where things are and there is no logical order to their isles. They also run at of mince meat most Thursdays by 5-30 pm, wtf?

The local Coles has also removed the lights on to indicate that a check out is open, so you never tell if a checkout is open without working right up to it to see if it's manned, or womaned.

Woolies is a bad experience for me as well, locally. Some of the staff are extremely unprofessional and they also seem to have run out of some stock by the time I get there at around 6pm.

So now I try and shop smart, I only buy things from Woolies and Coles when they have specials and I buy non-perishables in bulk. Apart from that I buy from Foodland and IGA.

Oh and one more thing, who is the idiot that came up with the idea of having two or three staff congregating around the self serve area and leaving less staff than that on the checkouts?

If and when Woolies and Coles decide to improve their service and range, I might start to think about doing my full weekly shop there. Until then I will spend as little money as I can there and I will avoid their petrol stations, hardware stores and anything else that they try to dominate.

On service, quality and choice, for me its IGA, Foodland, then comes fresh air and a long way back is the big two.

I have investments in Woolies and Coles through various LICS that I hold, it's about time they lifted their game.
