I did have a similar mentality to you; hold and hope it increases, however i've learned to sell an underperforming stock, with possibilities of purchasing it later at a lower price. Woolworths is no different. The results today highlight this, this stock will continue in a downward trend for the next 1-2years, even 3 years, before it improves. I would rather invest my money else where in that time and have nice returns, then later buy woolworths later at a better price (around 16$). Use your capital wisely.
