Just received a first ever Aldi advertising brochures at home – if that’s what ALDI is about then I am not rushing there anytime soon. Looks like their marketing dept is quite good and know how to get lots of free marketing. There weren’t many items which was cheaper than I just bought from woollies/farmer jacks. Also talking to some friends, all of them said although they tried Aldi but there is nothing that attracts them to rush there again.. Anyway based on what I have seen so far in Perth, my view now is whether WOW/Coles will perform in the long term or not that’s a different story but WOW/Coles is going to go down because of Aldi, I don’t see that happening...
