We have hydronic heating and it is fantastic - doesn't dry the air or cause positive pressure and wasted hot air being pushed out through any cracks, like under doors, nor does it create havoc for neighbours with the smoke.
My poor chooks have to breathe smoke laden air every winter night and I can't open windows inside unless happy to live in someone else's chimney. When looking out to our view towards a neighbouring town on winter mornings it is easy to confuse the settled smoke with a natural fog.
Looking forward to the time when everybody else updates to a clean air heating system...probably in another incarnation though. At least people here seem to have the good sense to burn well matured wood, unlike our last neighbour in Sydney.
