Thanks for that. It's amazing how long some of these can last but 60 years for the Rayburn and still going good is incredible.
The local dealer has just started stocking Lopi from the US and I was impressed with the quality. I bit the bullet and ordered a Republic 1750, their first sale and it should be installed next week. I feel guilty about not buying Australian but can remember the guy in Tasmania, that repaired and installed wood heaters, saying he had one and rated it highly.
Hopefully it will do a good job and go the distance too. The 9.5mm firebox should help.
