Hi Sierra - I am embarrassed - had an obsession about a 'clean' way of using wood for heating for a long tim - so when I saw the header 'off' I went, sorry! (I had just returned from 'the seaside' to the Hills (Perth) and noticed the drop in temperature.)
Talcum powder - carcinogenic? I probably go through a 200g tin in 1 year or longer. Interesting info. though - talc is mined in W.A. somewhere near Three-Springs, by one of the big miners.
The Finnish soapstone stoves have been commercially produced for a long time and are well-known for their clean combustion - one of the companies producing them is called 'Tulikivi'
If you don't mind could I ask you if the Lopi is satisfactory?
