We have had a wood heater since the year dot and have plenty of 40 year old red gum fence posts that we cut up on a large saw.
The problem is the people who foolishly burn green timber and the fact that there are pollutants very dangerous to people's health in large Urban areas.
Makes gas look very good in the cities.
Interesting to see that a wood heater puts out more pollution in a few hours than a car does in a whole year.
