There's big boys like Exxon & Chevron incumbent in PNG. They'll shuffle the deck chairs to suit re-the tariff.
They will shuffle the chairs back again when it suits their strategic purposes. If we're lucky we wont be the ones left without a chair when the music stops.
An example of the stakes these guys play for is the situation re-gas in former Soviet Union whole countries like Tajikistan & Usbekistan get subverted for their goals. O'Neill is trading where he can but he's not a gorilla.
Even Australia tires to push small countries like Timor L'este around on the Sunrise gas field.
