EOS Wins Weapon System Contract

The Company is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a significant contract for the provision of remote weapon systems and related services to a foreign country.

The contract is valued at approximately A$50m in two phases, with the first phase of A$25m fully
funded. The second phase is scheduled to be funded in 2008.
Work under the contract has already commenced, and both phases will be completed by 2010.
The Chief Executive Officer of EOS, Dr Ben Greene, said:
“Since commencing production in 2005 for the US Army CROWS program, EOS has initiated
marketing programs in Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and the Americas. The Company has also
developed product variants tailored for the needs of specific markets.”
“Initial sales in Australia were announced in 2006. EOS is also a bidder for the US Army CROWS
program, with Recon Optical Inc. as prime contractor. The CROWS contract award is now
expected to be made in the USA in early August 2007.”
“This contract award of A$50m was achieved in an open bidding process against international
competition, as was the Australian contract in 2006. EOS remains in contention for all contracts for
which it has submitted a proposal but not yet achieved a contract award.”
“This award further demonstrates the strong market position of EOS and its international partners in
the rapidly-expanding market for remote weapon systems. EOS’s competitive position is based on
its substantial investments in technology and high-quality production capacity, as well as strong
partners in each market.”
