It must be comforting that NTU's resource remains open at depth but IF and I mean IF the CUX JORC resource can be extrapolated to the total area of Charlie Creek then the resource could be 100 times greater than the estimated JORC resource. Remember that the Charlie Creek resource goes from the surface to an average depth of 30 metres.
Are you suggesting that NTU resource could be developed at 100 times the depth that has been drilled at the moment? That resource would need to be extracted not by open cut but by an underground mine wouldn't it? How much does that cost?
Don't get me wrong Ltl I hope that both NTU and CUX is successful. CUX's scoping study has not predicted an exceptionally large production so I am suggesting that NTU and CUX could help provide the shortfall predicted in the rare earths required for the higher quality generators and electric motors required in the future, which you highlighted in your post.
Cheers,
Stoops
