Don't sweat this one too much. Its tough, difficult and of limited value in the hands of OXX/Albers. Todays ann was purely admin on the way to getting a RL...to Retain (read=hold without spending any $ for as long as possible).

Shell got very excited about this one in the late nineties and drilled 8-9? wells. They had huge expectations (200+mmbbls, if I recall) Result that field was much smaller (best guess now about 20 mmbbls), structurally complex and relatively low quality oil (very shallow <1000m). Shell let it go in 2002? and Albers, always the sniffer, picked it up and as usual wrapped it up in 5 of his coys. They drilled a commitment well in 2009, came across a 20m oil column but couldn't sample it due to unconsolidated sands.

Its pretty well entrenched in the "too hard" basket.
