The directors are still fully committed to Oaklands, the test pit should be underway in 2009 of somewhere between 20,000 to 30,000 tonnes, and the Council is being fully supportive.
I also know that the value of housing has jumped dramatically, so it would appear those outside investors also believe in this project.
A couple of houses have sold in the town for amounts which is setting new records for the prices there.
I also know of a couple of blocks of land that will come onto the market in the middle of town, and the asking rate is only about $25k a block, which I thought was a complete bargain.
