It is all very well saying estate agents are over priced for what they do, and it is tru that low cost options like purple bricks are springing up.
But the most important thing is an agent that will get you the highest price possible.
I would rather pay the agent twice as much if they can get me an extra $100000 from a buyer.

In Sydney and Melbourne I would definitely go with a good agent rather than try a low cost approach.
