Cotton Australia is predicting a 36% increase in plantings for cotton next season.
"As part of her visit, Cotton Australia worked with Armelle to develop an initial forecast for next season, and with the current flooding throughout Queensland, predicted 250,000 hectares of cotton could be grown next season, an increase from 184,000ha this year. This will be the most positive start to the season seen in many years, although some southern areas are still in the grips of drought."
