if one goes back in time - to around 2011-2013, "the Santos" had circa 1080 - 1140m FPO on issue ........
the shares ranged betwixt 11 and 13 ......
so mr mk cap was 11.8bn and 14.8bn.....
oil prices ranged from 90 odd to 110odd .....
when one adds back the debt (to get an Enterprise value) .....
in short - the Santos's share price has actually recovered ..................after raising circa 5bn in new capita;l/asset sales ......
