All IMHO, of course, but here goes:
The world economy is improving
Oil prices are improving
Santos management has done a great job in the past few years
Assets are performing well and generating larger free cash flows
Asset values in the balance sheet will be re-assessed and amounts previously impaired will be reversed.
Equity in the BS will therefore increase
The Debt to Equity ratio will therefore be improved
Credit rating agencies will give better credit ratings to Santos debt
Less cash will be needed to repay debt
More cash will be available for exploration and expansion
Dividends will start again.
It all looks like a very good picture for all Santos shareholders
