It doesn't really matter what the future essalating upside price is for uranium , as shareholders in both companies will be advantaged as the PDN chairman Rick Crabb rightly pointed out last week .....SMM does not enjoy any greater "potential" or "Upside" or whatever that PDN shareholders will not also enjoy in their own company going foreword.........if anything PDN now enjoys the distinct advantage of current production/cash flow and the huge ability to raise cash for ongoing developments WITHOUT SHAREHOLDER DILLUSION [JB just raised us$250 million which was over subscribed 4 times in a matter of days w/o shareholder dillusion }
The REAL question here is who is more capable of delivering the best shareholder value going foreword.
Management and managements proven ability in delivering has always been my FIRST CRITERIA in assertaining any companys ability to deliver......w/o top managers I couldn't give a rats a*se as to what they may have in the ground or whatever .
We've backed and supported both JB and AE from early days , seen PDN go from 1 cent to $11 plus in production , SMM fom 6 cents to touch $5 on speculation with a very large take-over premium built in . I would have expected the SMM shareholders to jump at the extra $1 premium offered by PDN on the $4 SMM sp which you would have to be dreaming to try and justify . the REST IS CHEESE AND CHALK , smm shareholders need to stop dreaming , put aside their bias and hype and analise what will give them the best value in the future and who is the most capable of delivering that for them .
It is pretty obvious to most that AE has neither the experience or ability to take this where some shareholders would hope .....its not going to happen ....those inexperienced regretably think developing , mining and marketing uranium is as simple as starting up a gold or copper mine . It is regretable in deed , and I say so with all due respect , it is not going to happen under AE .
SMM shareholders need to also think whether they want to retain their tenaments in the hands of a proven Austalian company like PDN or watch helplessly as some foreign company with unknown credentials take it with far less upside for existing shareholders .
Hope I've been able get people thinking a bit clearer on the future direction and not be swept up in the hype and dreams of some too close to call it for you . Cheers to all the long term uranium investers , the best is yet to come .
